WOMEN’S CENTRE FUNDING: We are deeply grateful for all the support that we have received since we faced a funding crisis in March. The financial and non-financial support have touched us greatly. Though we are not in financial crisis at the moment we still have to be extremely careful, as no funding is guranteed, and the generous donations we received are mostly one-off gifts. So please keep all the goodness coming... The Women’s Centre has been supporting the women of Christchurch for the past 30 years through a range of free and low cost services. We are a vital link in the network of support services that exist in Christchurch and in this post-earthquake environment our services are needed more than ever.
How you can help
· We have established a Givealittle page for donations , please share this link and our plight as widely as possible https://givealittle.co.nz/org/womensc
· Make a short video or written testimonial of the links you have with the Women’s Centre - the importance of our organisation to you or your service and to the wellbeing of the Christchurch community. This can be done simply on a mobile phone and forwarded to us. The intention is to upload these to our Givealittle page.
If you need any further information contact Ardas (Manager) or Ariane (Centre Co-ordinator) at the Centre on 03 371 7414.
Together we can make a difference.

A website with resources and information about GLBT families and forum for people from all over NZ to connect. Several cities in NZ have organised meet ups. We are based in Christchurch and our involvement waxes and wanes, but we are trying to get together at least every few months.
Rainbow Families New Zealand is an organization dedicated to building relationships and connections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT) parents, prospective parents, and their children.
We encourage our families to form strong community ties locally as well as across New Zealand by offering support and friendship to individuals at all stages of parenting and by providing a forum for our children to make life-long friends.
We meet regularly across the country in specific regions through informal family gatherings, celebrations, and events, and we participate in an online forum to stay connected across New Zealand.

QUEER ASIANS IN NZ
Queer Asian stories from New Zealand can be found at www.lgbtiasiannz.wordpress.com
“When we we growing up, our parents told us that Asian people valued family above all else, and this was what set us apart from the Kiwis. So when our sister transitioned to become our brother, there was never any question that we would continue to love and support him.”
Supportive Sister, NZ born Singaporean
“And I think the most important thing is now my family knows my sexual orientation and they also embrace it, and also they like my partner. I think the harder things for any hidden secret is you cannot be honest with people you love, and you cannot share the joy and the hardship you have in your life. ”

RAINBOW CHURCH is a church group formed to be a place where EVERYONE is truly welcome ...lesbian, gay, bi, male, female, trans peoples, intersexual, heterosexual, asexual, kinky, vanilla, young, old, rich, poor, street worker, office worker, student, employed, unemployed, or anywhere in between. It is inclusive. It is the Church of the Unconditional Welcome. It is non-judgmental. It's a place of acceptance, and affirmation of who YOU are. It seeks to empower you to be all that you can be. It seeks to explore spirituality, albeit from a christian perspective, and we welcome positive two-way conversations with others from alternate spiritualities. We want to create relationships with people, with groups, and with the community. We want to build relationship with YOU.
We meet weekly on Sunday evenings. We are a House Church. We are independent. We are small - which has limitations, but also allows for exciting possibilities. Our style of worship can be described as Relaxed Formality. It uses the best from the past ...and from the present, to create meaningful worship experiences.
As we move forward we have a range of activities planned - although what we offer will ultimately depend on demand, interest, and need.
Study group - We plan to kick off with a series on Bad Girls of the Bible. Interested in learning more about women in the bible? This will prove to be fascinating!
Youth Group - weekly meetings for study and socializing for teens - 30 yr old's, led by an experienced Youth Worker. Drop-in Centre. A welcoming space to come together, talk, get creative, drink coffee, explore, hang-out.
Music Group - singers and musicians are wanted to create a Rainbow Community Music Group. Sing, play, make music together. Perform and have FUN!
Social Times - it's always good to be able to relax and share in a range of positive, fun moments.
Website - able to help us create one? Then definitely get in contact!! You don't need to commit to membership in order to join with us. You don't even need to commit to classic Christianity. An open mind helps. It's more important to be together, then to be "right"!!
Interested? Give us a txt, email, or phone call ... details are below.

Outside the Square's vision is of travel adventures shared with other gay individuals who crave the kinds of holiday not offered in the traditional gay marketplace. Ladies I would so appreciate your feedback, as the site is gay men focused but I am working on a women focused sister site running the same trips on different dates. Is this the type of adventure travel website you would be interested in following? Would you be happy for me (a gay man) to run a trip or would you feel more comfortable for a woman to take a women’s only trip? Or are you open to both? Which trip on the website do you feel would appeal to women most? Bali / Burma / or NZ Great Walks! Your feedback would be most appreciated and if you know me, you can make it anonymous email@example.com
