WOMEN’S CENTRE FUNDING: The Women’s Centre has been supporting the women of Christchurch for the past 30 years through a range of free and low cost services. We are a vital link in the network of support services that exist in Christchurch and in this post-earthquake environment our services are needed more than ever. We are deeply grateful for all the financial and non-financial support that we receive. Since no funding is guaranteed, and the generous donations we receive are mostly one-off gifts we will continue to ask you to please keep all the goodness flowing.
Here are some way how you can help
· We have established a Givealittle page for donations , please share this link as widely as possible https://givealittle.co.nz/org/womensc
· Make a short video or written testimonial of the links you have with the Women’s Centre - the importance of our organisation to you or your service and to the wellbeing of the Christchurch community. This can be done simply on a mobile phone and forwarded to us. The intention is to upload these to our Givealittle page.
If you need any further information contact Ardas (Manager) or Ariane (Centre Co-ordinator) at the Centre on 03 371 7414.
Together we can make a difference.

LGBT PARENTING: We are Chloe and Estelle, two French students of Anthropology from the University of Toulouse Jean Jaurès (France).
We are studying for our masters degree and working on gay parenthood. We are working together and writing two distinctive dissertations. Chloe is studying the extended family relationships and I, Estelle, focus on the outlook of the children who grow up in these families. Our aim is to observe and explain the dynamics of the kinship.
We have received a scholarship from the Federal University of Toulouse to continue our ethnographic research on the subject and shoot a documentary film (about homo parenthood) in New-Zealand. We landed on the 1st of July in Auckland, and will stay at least 6 months, looking for families all around both islands. We are now looking to meet LGBT families in NZ, to hear their stories. It could stay anonymous or not. We would love to just chat or if it's ok to film.
If you are a member of an LGBT family and are interested in helping us or if you know people who may be interested to share their stories and experiences, feel free to contact us or to give our contact details to them.

Hi Filia, I just wanted to text and say thank you so much for Saturday. We had a fantastic day, it was just perfect!! Cheers, Mel
We were really happy with Filia as our celebrant. She was always warm, friendly, relaxed and helpful. Nothing was ever a problem for her. She was happy to come to us when we were busy. Was always in contact with us by email (which was our preferred way as we were not often by our phones). Filia was happy to change the ceremony until it was just what we wanted and was happy with a last minute change right before the ceremony. She reminded us of all the practical things we needed and we would recommend her to anyone. Thank you Filia for being a part of our day! Sarah

OUTSIDE THE SQUARE: TRAVEL ADVENTURES FOR THE “ALMOST INDEPENDENT” GAY TRAVELLER. www.ots-adventures.com.
If your idea of a great holiday is exploring unusual places, quirky hotels, and atmospheric local restaurants with other compatible gay adventurers. Outside the Square's vision is of travel adventures shared with other gay individuals who crave the kinds of holiday not offered in the traditional gay marketplace. Ladies I would so appreciate your feedback, as the site is gay men focused but I am working on a women focused sister site running the same trips on different dates. Is this the type of adventure travel website you would be interested in following? Would you be happy for me (a gay man) to run a trip or would you feel more comfortable for a woman to take a women’s only trip? Or are you open to both? Which trip on the website do you feel would appeal to women most? Bali / Burma / or NZ Great Walks! Your feedback would be most appreciated and if you know me, you can make it anonymous email@example.com
